The Black Lodge a multi-purpose facility of the Winnipeg Film Group dedicated to creation, exhibition and community.
This venue is located on the 3rd floor of Artspace – just upstairs from our Cinematheque, at 100 Arthur Street (and Bannatyne).
The Black Lodge is designed to support independent film and moving image art practices, and to ignite overall community participation in the arts. Aside from serving our own in-house programming, this space is easily accessible by artists, arts organizations and community groups.
This 1,150 sq ft black box studio is available for rental to support independent film production and production-related activities (auditions, rehearsals, production meetings, etc.), as well as to support public programming such as artist talks, screenings, performances and installations.
The context of The Black Lodge situates it best for programming that is between a few hours up to two weeks in length.
